IT’S classed as a small crossover, but the Q2 is nearly as big as the ageing Q3 (opposite) in some areas. The lines are similar to the A3 on which the Q2 is based, while the colourcoded C-pillars are said to be a homage to the R8 coupé.
As you would expect, the interior delivers Audi’s usual excellent quality and design, and there’s enough space for a family of four. The car is decent to drive, too, with tidy handling and a range of strong and willing petrol and diesel engines. However, Haldex four-wheel drive is only available with the most powerful 2.0-litre turbo petrol and diesel engines and S tronic auto box. Those models are a touch pricey, but competitive finance deals will help.
