Bridge-bashing lorry drivers should pay

FROM: JE WHY do taxpayers pick up the £23million bill for the 2,000 railway bridges crashed into by lorries each year (Issue 1,499)? Professionals drive these trucks, so charge them with dangerous driving and recoup the costs from them or their employers. It’s ridiculous that the public is paying for these mistakes.
