Smoother look for self-driving Lexus

TOYOTA is presenting its latest autonomous driving research vehicle at CES this week.

Called Platform 3.0, the car (above) is based on the new Lexus LS 600h L, with more advanced sensors and cameras that are better integrated into the bodywork than previous efforts, making it look more appealing.

A low-volume production run will begin in the spring, with test models hitting the road soon after.
