FROM: Stephen Torr ROEL van Es makes the point that de­cel­er­a­tion and ac­cel­er­a­tion at traffic-calm­ing mea­sures in­creases pol­lu­tion (Is­sue 1,517), but if driv­ers ob­served the speed lim­its in those ar­eas there would be no need to de­cel­er­ate and ac­cel­er­ate in the first place.
