We honour industry’s greatest to mark 30 years of Auto Express

THIS year is a special one in the history of Auto Express: the UK’S leading motoring weekly is celebrating 30 years in the business. That’s the business of delivering the big motoring news stories, scoop pictures, drives of new cars and in-depth reviews before anyone else.

Much has changed over those three decades, but our drive to be the best, uncover the biggest stories and to keep you abreast of all that’s happening in the world of motoring remains. Auto Express has grown to encompass a market-leading website and Youtube channel, and has been joined by a sister title, Carbuyer.

Over the next few pages, we’ll deliver our verdict on the car, the company and the individual that we believe have done more to further the motoring cause than any other.

And 2018 also marks 20 years of our sister title evo, plus 15 years of classic car title Octane. Their editorial teams also argued long into the night to deliver their anniversary awards. There were no shortage of contenders, and debate will surely run, but we firmly believe our winners are innovative, groundbreaking and single-minded in their pursuit of excellence.
