VW I.D. R smashes Pikes Peak record

VOLKSWAGEN’S I.D. R has smashed the outright record for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb in Colorado. Driver Romain Dumas covered the 12.42-mile course in seven minutes, 57.148 seconds.

That broke the existing EV best by almost a minute, and beat the overall record of 8mins 13.878s. Watch the record run in our video.
