Interior cleaner mini test

Can all-in-one spray trump trim and fabric champs?

- Kim Adams

MANY manufacturers prefer to have separate cleaners for hard and soft surfaces in your car’s cabin. But Chipex has introduced a new product that aims to tackle both.

Factory Finish Interior and Dashboard Cleaner joins other newcomers Uber Super Concentrate Car Shampoo (£12.95, 500ml) and a revised version of Aquaphobic RainRepelling Screenwash (£13.95, one litre) in the Chipex range.

We tested the new interior cleaner against our hard surface test winner, Dodo Juice Total Wipe Out, and the soft champ, Halfords’ Upholstery Cleaner.

Chocolate and margarine were applied to a car mat and trim panel, plus we added ballpoint ink to the fabric. We used limited wiping and assessed progress once the test areas had dried.

Our champs retain their titles, but the Chipex is worth a look if you need a dual-purpose product.
