Price £18,400 On sale Now What’s new? The most powerful petrol C3 Aircross driven on UK roads for the first time CITROËN’S ENTRY INTO the small SUV segment looks fun, and has a fresh, quirky take on interiors that conveys typically French flair.

The driving experience, however, leaves a little to be desired on UK roads. High levels of wind, road and engine noise combined with anodyne steering mean that the C3 Aircross looks more fun than it actually is.

In 128bhp 1.2-litre Puretech petrol guise, the C3 Aircross is nippy enough to hold its own, though – even if this version is a little less refined than its diesel counterparts.

Avoid the automatic gearbox and headroom-killing panoramic sunroof, and it’s as good as most other small SUVS, but no better.
