WALTER HAYES TROPHY ALLCOMERS

Autosport (UK) - - CLUB AUTOSPORT/NEWS -

The Walter Hayes Trophy Allcomers was graced by three Le Mans Prototypes when late entry James Cottingham (pic 2, above) joined Martin Short (1) and Jack Dex (3). Short qualified his Dallara SP1 on pole position, and stormed to victory by over half a minute. Cottingham started from the back of the grid but still worked his way up to second, ahead of Dex in a Creation-aim CA07. The Creation was scheduled to be driven by Nicolas Minassian, who drove it in period, but he was unavailable to take the wheel of the Bob Berridge-owned machine. Richard Neary rounded out the top four in a Mercedes-amg GT3.
