Life’s calm on the river
Ayr Harbour rarely stands still.
But it certainly does in this star photo portrait by keen lensman Lawrence Graney.
Lawrence is the same man who took some remarkable footage of otters just behind the Auld Kirk further upstream.
He shot this image in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon with an ordinary Galaxy tablet.
Lawrence said: “Although this is industrial, it is both dramatic, colourful and calm, especially for the time of day, 2.50pm.”
The blue of the sky is mirrored in the trio of loaders, Ford Transit, Honda Civic, and the yacht keel .
