Man admits handing over fake £ 20 at petrol station

-

A man pled guilty to passing a fake £ 20 note at an Ayr garage.

Keir Goodwin, 21, also admitted a string of previous convictions when he appeared in the dock at Ayr Sheriff Court.

“This could be quite serious for you,” Sheriff Mhari Mactaggart warned Goodwin, who at first had no solicitor. The sheriff asked for a duty solicitor to represent Goodwin, of Coronation Road in Drongan.

And Ian Gillies confirmed that Goodwin pled guilty as charged to the offence on January 17 this year at the Tam o’ Shanter filling station, Station Bridge, Ayr.

Sheriff Mactaggart asked for a social work report on Goodwin, and granted him bail until June 20.
