Global market back in Killie

-

The popular global market is returning to Kilmarnock town centre next weekend.

And the attraction will open late on the Thursday for the very first time to entice people along after their work.

Running from 10.30am until 7.30pm on Thursday, 9am until 6pm on Saturday and 10am until 4pm on Sunday, the ever- popular market will see the return of firm favourites such as jewellery and ornament stalls, Greek pie vendors and the Bratwurst grill.

There will also be local producers selling a range of chilli- based products including balsamic dressings, oatcakes, biscuits and chocolate.

Fiona Nicolson, town centre manager, said: “The Global Market is one of the most popular events in Ayrshire and we are delighted to welcome it back once again.

“Due to the popularity of the seating area at the Cross which was introduced last year, we will be providing this again to let people sit and relax and enjoy their food and the entertainment.

“Events like this are always popular and are a good way to encourage people to experience the town centre as a place to relax and socialise.”
