Play, Pie and Pint is at Gaiety
The popular A Play, A Pie and A Pint series returns to Ayr’s Gaiety Theatre this week.
But That Was Then, written by Peter McDougall, tells the story of a long- time together couple, who grew up together in marriage, grew together in marriage and matured into middle age together.
But Marcia believes, and is convinced, she is ageing quicker than husband James - and can’t put it down to a changing world that leaves her unsure, unemployable, bemused and feeling stranded.
And while husband James doesn’t seem to notice - he does notice.
Peter McDougall is an established writer with various awards under his belt, including a BAFTA lifetime achievement prize. He was one of the initial writers for the inaugural first season of ‘ A Play, A Pie and A Pint’.
Tickets for A Play, A Pie and A Pint, at 12.30pm and 7.30pm this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, are available from ayrgaiety. co. uk or the box office on 01292 288235.
