Nutrition firm lands top US deal
A specialist animal nutrition company run by an Ayrshire couple has landed a major US distribution deal.
Almins Ltd is now acting as a direct distributor for US- based Arm & Hammer Animal Nutrition.
The Edinburgh- based company, run by Archie and Julie Leitch, will be focused on growing demand for, as well as, launching, more dairy market products from the Princeton- based global distributor.
Almins Ltd already markets products from Arm & Hammer Animal Nutrition.
Welcoming the new deal, Archie said: “This is a major agreement for Almins and allows the company to further expand its product line to our UK customers.
“We currently market Biochlor and Fermenten directly to British dairy farmers as well as acting as distributors to other UK- based feed manufacturers.
“The agreement helps forge the already strong relationship between both companies and provides increased product security as well as, direct access to nutritional and technological support.”
The US feed giant has a global- reach and is a recognised worldwide leader in providing the broadest portfolio of microbial and nutritional solutions backed by an unmatched research and development pipeline.
The company’s full portfolio of products allows dairy producers to reach their productivity goals before, during and after the transition period.
Northern Europe Account Manager Jorgen Nielsen said: “We have a great opportunity to grow our market presence through our partnership with Almins Ltd.”
