Council must keep our banks ‘ bonnie’

Planners must kick out car plan

Ayrshire Post - - NEWS -

showroom at all!

The problem with bad planning decisions is that they tend to last decades longer than the idiots who made them in the first place.

Is there a councillor alive who will put his or her hand up and admit, “Aye – see that General Accident building in Beresford Terrace . . . that was one of mine!”

I still can’t understand why that concrete carbuncle was allowed to go up . . . and why no- one seems to have done anything about knocking it down again?

What about those futuristic Portakabin- style flats they threw up to the side of the old Gartferry Hotel?

What on earth are they doing amongst the graceful and stately homes of Racecourse Road?

And don’t even get me started on the harbour side flats that now ruin the vista from the Auld Brig across the water to Arran.

This Doonfoot application doesn’t need a rubber stamp – it needs stamped on by a rubber boot.

And if Parks had any sensitivity towards conservation and public opinion – they’d withdraw this nonsense and park their previously owned Hondas somewhere else.

Expansion plans Park’s hoped to extend their Doonfoot site
