Welbeck tee up charity cash
Competitors at the Troon Welbeck Am Am over Lochgreen dug deep to be in with a chance of winning a luxury bottle of 40- year- old Malt Whisky, donated by club captain, Pete Doyle.
A bumper £ 520 was raised in support of The Butterfly Trust which offers help to people who suffer from Cystic Fibrosis.
The cheque was accepted on behalf of the Butterfly Trust by Arthur and Anne Glen whose daughter Victoria lost her brave fight against Cystic Fibrosis in January.
Victoria, who received a double lung transplant six years ago, devoted a huge amount of time to organising events, raising over £ 50,000 for charities such as the Butterfly Trust and was an advocate for ‘ Live Life Give Life’ to raise awareness of organ donation.
