Bizarre hat biter gets work
A man who bit a police officer’s hat has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.
Jimmey McKillop, 34, admitted a bizarre incident where he demanded police arrested him – despite no obvious evidence of a crime.
Police arrived at his home in Pine Quadrant, Girvan, on Christmas Eve last year and were chased by McKillop who eventually received a warning for his conduct. But he kept lunging at officers – and eventually bit one on the brim of his hat.
McKillop went on to bang his head off the inside of a police vehicle after he eventually received his wish and was arrested.
Sheriff Mhairi Mactaggart made him subject to a community payback order where he must carry out 90 hours of unpaid work in the next three months.
