North Car­rick de­cides on who gets funds

The peo­ple of North Car­rick were this week be­ing in­vited to make a de­ci­sion on who should get a share of £ 30,000 this month.

This will be de­cided at the end of this month and the funds are be­ing made avail­able through May­bole and North Car­rick Lo­cal­ity Plan­ning Group.

Ap­pli­ca­tions for projects need­ing up to £ 2,000 were in­vited re­cently with a clos­ing date of last Fri­day, Septem­ber 8 and the de­ci­sion will be made on Satur­day, Septem­ber 30.

A par­tic­i­pa­tory bud­get­ing ( PB) event takes place at May­bole Town Hall Septem­ber 30 from 10am to 2pm and minibuses will be run­ning to and from the vil­lages on the day so that those re­stricted by trans­port can take part.

The PB day will con­sist of stalls where groups look­ing for fund­ing will demon­strate and talk about their projects.

All the or­gan­is­ers need is for peo­ple to drop in be­tween 10am and 2pm to find out about the projects and vote for the ones you think should be funded. For de­tails con­tact Mar­ion. young@ south- ayr­shire. gov. uk.
