Party night to Brave little Marc leads the way as awards are handed out at glitzy Park Hotel bash
singer and The Voice winner Kevin Simm.
The first award of the night was the Child Bravery Award with AJ Gallagher.
This special award went to eightyearold Marc Crawford Smith, who has a congenital immunodeficiency disorder which, tragically, claimed the life of his dad.
The little fighter, from Kilbirnie, spends a lot of time in hospital and only got out last Thursday to attend the awards. His proud mum Hailey said: “He goes through everything with a smile on his face and so deserves this standing ovation.”
Marc said: “I’d like to thank everyone for the award and the nurses and doctors for looking after me. I appreciate everything they do for me.”
The Up and Coming Youngster Award with GE Caledonian was won by Kilmarnock schoolgirl Morven Campbell, a talented musician and singer who contributes much to the life of the school and the wider community.
