Banned ex hid

A woman who was banned from going near her ex hid him under the bed when cops searched her property.

Melissa Summer’s bail conditions stated she was not allowed to communicate with James Brown apart from when she was giving birth in hospital. But police discovered Brown hiding under the bed at her address in Lime Road, New Cumnock on May 14.

Depute fiscal Jacob Tomnay said police officers heard male and female voices when they entered the property.

Mr Tomnay continued: “Officers found Ms Summers at the locus 38 weeks pregnant. She confirmed to police no one else was present. But Mr Brown was found hiding under the bed in the rear bedroom.”

Ayr Sheriff Court heard on Monday how Mr Brown turned up at Summer’s door and she let him in.

Sentence has been deferred on Summers , 25, for good behaviour.
