Pupils on the farm

Pupils of Auchinleck were treated to a special visit to a farm recently.

The Royal Highland Educational Trust ( RHET), Ayrshire & Arran project coordinator, Elaine Bryson, organised a trip to West Mossgiel Farm, Mauchline for the S4 and S5 pupils.

They were given a tour of the farm explaining along the way how it was built up the family farm in to a successful home grown business.

RHET is an educational charity and aims to provide the opportunity for every child in Scotland to learn about food, farming and the countryside, and to create a wider understanding of the environmental, economic and social realities of rural Scotland.
