an ayr­shire elec­tri­cal goods com­pany has gone into ad­min­is­tra­tion.

JH Don­ald, which has a store in ayr is fac­ing an un­cer­tain fu­ture.

the gir­van store closed this week. Nine of the 32 em­ploy­ees have been made re­dun­dant.

the other stores across ayr­shire are re­main­ing open and a clear­ance sale un­der­way.

Blair Nimmo, Head of Re­struc­tur­ing at KPMg UK, was ap­pointed In­terim Liq­uida­tor of James H Don­ald ( Darvel) Lim­ited on Novem­ber 6.

“Fol­low­ing the ap­point­ment, nine re­dun­dan­cies have been made and the gir­van store will close this evening. the other stores will con­tinue to trade while the In­terim Liq­uida­tor as­sesses the com­pany’s fi­nan­cial po­si­tion and how best to re­alise the re­main­ing as­sets.”
