Smiles back on the faces of ill children

Ayrshire Post - - Bob Shields -

Malcolm Sargent House has been making headlines in this newspaper for decades . . . but in the last two years, the stories beneath them haven’t all been pleasant reading.

The Clic Sargent sell- out of their former Prestwick base was one of the cruellest acts to befall any good cause.

But last week’s “New Home for Malcolm Sargent” made for happy reading again.

It’s a fantastic achievement for BUYMSH chief Maxine Allan and her huge team of volunteer helpers.

And let’s not forget to thank the “mystery benefactor” whose interest free loan helped pave the way.

Figures reveal that over £ 250,000 has been raised since CLIC went clunk.

But, as Maxine underlines, the new home needs even more funds to start essential renovations and improvements.

My business is proud to have a BUYMSH collecting tin on its counter.

If you want to support a well run, local charity that puts smiles back on the faces of children who have faced the toughest hardships – this is it!
