Sneak thief stolecar

A sneak thief managed to get into a sandstone villa and take two sets of car keys . . . while the family were still awake.

The stunned couple - who have a young child - were locking up and realised the keys had vanished.

And looked outside to see the year old Ford Fiesta gone.

Detectives are now carrying out enquiries in Craigie Road, Ayr, and seeking CCTV of the incident.

It happened on Friday night between 8pm and midnight.

An Ayr Police spokesman said: “They gained entry through an insecure door and made off with a 67 plate turquoise Ford Fiesta.

“A second set of keys were also stolen, but not the car.

“Anyone with information should get in touch with us.”
