We shared the exciting news that Furys nightclub was voted the best in Scotland - up against some worthy finalists.

Helen Duff said: “Congratulations and well done getting this achievement.”

Lorna Quinn also sent over her congratulatory wishes and said: “Well done!”

But Isac Riddarsparre said: “Not too keen on going.”

Beauty Empire bosses claimed Bella Mani was safe and still trading despite tax collectors swooping in.

Rita Nicol said: “It’s the small fishes - easy targets - they go for, always the way of the establishment.”

Samantha Stewart questioned: “How come the tax man is chasing a wee chain of shops when others can skip out of paying without so much as a nod?!”

Kelly Donohoe said: “Hopefully a rescue package can be put in place. Their girls’ pamper packages are great for wee girls wanting a treat.”

We told of a Troon church mulling over the decision to allow same sex couples to marry within the church.

Willie Bone said: “No time to ponder, the law is the law and you don’t want to go down the dwindling congregation route.”

May Dillon echoed Willie’s view and said: “What is there to think about, it’s the law.”

While Roger Small argued: “Can’t be a real church if they are even thinking about this. Don’t they read the Bible? If he [the minister] has ever read the Bible he would know the answer to the question.”

A speeding driver faces jail after killing a passenger and badly injuring three others in a horror car smash.

Robert Dalgleish said: “Even if she wasn’t over the speed limit given the road conditions she would be going too fast.

“She killed someone, yes she has to live with that for the rest of her life, but she can get on with her life. Unlike the poor boy she killed due to her actions.”

Nicole Sharp said: “The fact she’s admitted and pled guilty to ‘death by DANGEROUS driving’ proves she was driving stupid.

“I think she deserves jail time just like anyone else would get who killed someone due to dangerous driving.”

Fiona Rankin: “A boy from Ayr got five years for doing the same thing recently.

“It would be very wrong if she gets away with it just because she’s a new mum.”
