Finn: We have plenty to offer the Championship

-

Despite being a new boy in the senior squad, Finn Ecrepont still feels his Ayr United side has plenty to offer going into the Championship.

The 15-year-old turns 16 next month and is hoping to make his first team debut over the coming season.

And he reckons Ayr are there to more than just make up the numbers.

He said:“We have got a really good squad, so I don’t see why we can’t at least stay up.

“All I can is look at is Livingston last year. They didn’t play the most attractive football, that’s no secret.

“But they were hard to break down and the players worked hard every game and put 100 per cent in for every minute they were on the park.

“That’s the level we aspire to and need to look at that.

“I’m an Ayr United fan, and want us to do aswell as we can.

“But the main thing is getting a good season in, and we can build from that and I don’t see why we can’t kick on from there.

“Keeping the likes of Lawrence Shankland, Craig Moore and Robbie Crawford is huge for us. We have kept the core of the squad together, so hopefully we can add to that.”
