Teenagers escape jail after attack

two teenagers who assaulted a man have been spared jail. Aiden Dingwall, 18, of Afton Bridgend, New Cumnock, and Billy taylor, 19, of Wylie Crescent, Cumnock, punched and head- butted Daryl Beck after a drinking session last May. Mr Beck had attended Dingwall’s garden shed and then at 4am, Mr Beck was asked to leave but when he went outside, Dingwall punched him to the face and taylor headbutted him. the pair went back into the shed. Mr Beck had to attend A& E for swelling and pain in his jaw where he was treated for a fracture to the left sinus caused by the punch. the pair were both sentenced to a community payback order of 12 months supervisio­n. Dingwall was tagged for three months with his liberty restricted from 8pm to 7am. taylor was tagged for four months with his liberty restricted from 9pm to 7am
