Cheers! Historic hostelry makes The Good Pub Guide
AN ANGLESEY pub has made it into the latest edition of The Good Pub Guide.
This year has seen an impressive 33 pubs in Wales named in the 2018 guide - up from 27 last year.
The region has proven again that it has its fair share of decent watering holes, with 12 North Wales establishments earning a place in the listing.
Editor of the guide Fiona Stapley said: “Good pubs are run by naturally hospitable people who provide an equally warm welcome to regulars and visitors – everyone can feel at home and valued.
“We feel we belong, we matter and, for a while, the cares and clutter of daily life can be left behind – and this makes us happy.”
The Bull, in Beaumaris, dates back to the 15th century.
The bar has kept many of the old features, and diners can choose between a restaurant or brasserie.
Nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, visitors can also enjoy breathtaking views over the Menai Strait to the Snowdonia mountain range.
The guide says: “Interesting historic inn with plenty of interest, a rambling bar, stylish brasserie and restaurant; wellequipped bedrooms.”
