Man de­nies mur­der­ing es­tranged wife

A MAN has de­nied mur­der­ing his es­tranged wife.

Paul Martin Jor­dan is ac­cused of killing El­iz­a­beth Jor­dan at her home in Trem y Garnedd, Maes­geirchen, Ban­gor.

The 54-year-old, of Ffordd Si­a­bod, Y Felin­heli, en­tered a for­mal not guilty plea at Mold Crown Court.

Mother-of-two Mrs Jor­dan, 53 – known as Betty – died in hos­pi­tal after be­ing found se­ri­ously in­jured on July 31.

A pro­vi­sional trial date of Jan­uary 15 was set, with the case to be heard at Caernar­fon Crown Court.

Jor­dan said noth­ing ex­cept to con­firm his name and ad­dress, and a fur­ther hear­ing will be held on Novem­ber 9 once psy­chi­atric re­ports have been pre­pared.
