The money will be spent on lo­cal breast cancer ser­vices. The best dressed win­dow win­ner was Ster­mat Val­ley who re­ceived a bot­tle of cham­pagne. At the meet­ing on Thurs, Oct 12, they cel­e­brated World Food Day where mem­bers en­joyed the feast of food rep­re­sent­ing all cor­ners of the world. £45 was raised in do­na­tions, plus some food items for the Food Bank. Mem­bers were pro­vided with shoe boxes to be filled for var­i­ous Xmas Ap­peals, in­clud­ing Team­s4U, Refuge, young chil­dren at shel­tered hous­ing at Di­gartref, res­i­dents of the home­less hos­tels at Di­gartref. Any­one in­ter­ested in fill­ing one of th­ese boxes please con­tact Mal at 01407 710731 for fur­ther de­tails. A gar­den­ing group is be­ing set up to pro­vide help with cre­at­ing raised beds for grow­ing veg­eta­bles at Di­gartref in Holy­head and to give vol­un­teers the op­por­tu­nity to work along­side young peo­ple.
