ANGLESEY SOROPTIMISTS: On October 23 it was agreed to starta campaign relating to Violence Against Women at the Winter Show on Nov 11. The Christmas Shoe Box appeal is still running and members are asked to provide suggested items of toiletries, socks, hats, gloves, scarves and sweets before the end of November. Lunch Club will meet on Wed Nov 22. Venue to be confirmed. Wreaths will be laid at Llangefni and Beaumaris on behalf of Anglesey Soroptimists by 2 members of Club. PARKINSON’S UK CYMRU: Arfon and Mon Branch. Members brought antique items to the recent branch meeting, and Nia Wyn Williams from Llandegfan spoke on the history and worth of various categories. On November 24 the branch will be Making Music with Gloria and Alun Williams, at Rhosygad Chapel Vestry, Llanfair PG at 2pm. The Christmas Lunch has been arranged at Caernarfon Golf Club, on Friday, December 8.
CAERNARFON ARTHRITIS CARE/ RESEARCH: Arthritis Care has now merged with Arthritis Research. The Caernarfon Branch of Arthritis Care has been running for 30 years, offering ongoing support for all its members with professional advice regularly from the Rheumatology team. The last meeting on October 18, welcomed Matthew Williams, Rheumatology Physiotherapist, who gave excellent advice. Next meeting will be at Canolfan Noddfa, Caernarfon on Wed, Nov 22 at 7-9pm with a talk on the “Welsh Highland Railway”, given by Dafydd Thomas and John Williams. For info, contact 07768470848.
