MENAI Bridge will look to bounce back from last week­end’s 24-13 loss at Machyn­l­leth when they en­ter­tain old ri­vals Benllech in a Di­vi­sion Three North An­gle­sey derby this Satur­day.

The first half in Powys ended 17-3 to Mach, Dion McGrath with a penalty for the Bridge.

Af­ter the hosts se­cured the bonus point with a con­verted try in the sec­ond half, Menai ral­lied strongly.

The ref­eree lost pa­tience with the the home side’s per­sis­tent in­fring­ing at the ruck and two yel­low cards re­duced Mach to 13 play­ers.

With the nu­mer­i­cal ad­van­tage Bridge man­aged a sweep­ing move that No8 Sam Wil­liams fin­ished with a try.

Wil­liams then scored a fur­ther try from a se­ries of for­ward drives.
