Man accused of waving axe outside takeaway
A MAN accused of waving an axe outside a takeaway has appeared in court.
Thomas May, of Mona Street, Amlwch, appeared bloodied and bruised when he appeared from custody before magistrates at Caernarfon.
Flanked by two security guards the 36-year-old spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth during the fiveminute hearing.
He also indicated that when the charges would be put to him he would be pleading not guilty to all six charges.
The court heard May faces charges of affray and possessing an offensive weapon, an axe, which result from an incident outside a food takeaway shop in Amlwch late on Sunday, October 29.
May also faces charges of assault and making threats to kill on various dates between June 1 and October 1 this year
Bench chairman Elfed ap Gomer told May he was being remanded in custody until December 4 when he will appear before a judge at Caernarfon Crown Court.
