HOLIDAY PARK BID
Chalet complex planned
PLANS for a chalet park and leisure complex on Anglesey are set to be submitted to the coun- cil.
York Design and Construction wants to transform the empty Treetops site in Benllech into a holiday park – creating jobs and bringing extra visitors to the island.
Under the proposals to go to public consultation are plans for 25 holiday chalets, tennis courts, a pool and gym complex and a children’s play area.
A spokesman for agent Cadnant Planning said: “Permitting the proposed development will contribute positively to the local economy and its functionality in providing a tourism role. The scheme will deliver the sort of tourism activity that allows and encourages high customer spend in the local economy but in a sustainable manner.
“The associated improvements to the club house will significantly improve the appearance of the site.
“The associated support the chalets will provide to this business will allow it to flourish, provide jobs and bring visitors into the area.
“The leisure facilities represent a significant investment into the site and will benefit the local area, providing facilities for local people, but also other tourist accommodation sites which do not have their own facilities.”
The plans are on show at Benllech Library or at cadnantplanning.co.uk/ consultations.
A planning application is expected to be submitted once feedback has been received.
