BANGOR CITY GIRLS FC U16s have received a brand new free kit, courtesy of local McDonald’s franchisee Phil Lowndes and the McDonald’s and FA Accredited Club Kit Scheme.

Now in its fourth year, the Scheme has provided more than 250,000 free kits to grassroots football clubs, with a further 70,000 to be delivered this season alone.

Mr Lowndes said: “Bangor City Girls FC is a fantastic example of a grassroots club with a real community spirit. It’s important that we support local teams to help them create the best possible experience for young aspiring players.

“It’s great to see that the Kit Scheme is thriving again this year.”

Ethan Ray, Community and 3G manager at Bangor City FC, said: “We’re very grateful for the continued support of Phil and McDonald’s.

“The kits are a big hit with our young players.”
