Bath Rugby came back from 21-0 down to draw 31-31 with Gloucester at the Rec. Two tries from Tom Dunn and scores from Semesa Rokoduguni and Elliott Stooke meant the hosts came out of the Premiership clash with three league points. Inspired by Danny Cipriani, the Cherry and Whites did too once Matt Banahan scored a 78th minute try against his former club. Here’s how we rated the Bath players out of ten... 7 Nathan Catt Solid at scrum time and busy in the loose. Getting fitter by the week. 7 Tom Dunn Carried hard and chipped in with two crucial, second-half tries. However, he could have been better defensively. 7 Henry Thomas The prop put in some decent hits and carried solidly. 6 Dave Attwood Big carries from the lock again, but indiscipline caused a first-half penalty to be reversed, which ultimately led to a Gloucester try. Attwood also missed five tackles, which he won’t be happy with. 5 Matt Garvey Gave a penalty away and knocked on before leaving the field with an early injury. 7 Zach Mercer Full of energy and made 17 carries. Turned the ball over a couple of times, which will have disappointed him. 8 Sam Underhill Probably his best game in a Bath shirt. Hard hits, turnovers and an influential presence in the comeback. 6 Taulupe Faletau For his high standards, it was a very quiet game from the number eight. Did have a couple of nifty offloads but botched the scrum after Sharples went off. 7 Max Green A good first Premierhship start in a high-pressure game. Great kick to Rokoduguni. Needs to add a running threat, which could come with more confidence and experience. 7 Freddie Burns Decent wide passing and kicked all his goals. Kicking from hand had mixed results. 7 Joe Cokanasiga Had several, tough chances to score but couldn’t quite take them. The big hit and turnover on Sharples was his highlight. 6 Jamie Roberts Didn’t have a great impact in attack. Missed the first-up tackle on Woodward, but most people would. 6 Jackson Willison Had some good offloads but missed four tackles when defence was Bath’s weakness. 8 Semesa Rokoduguni Sharp, dangerous and looking for work. His aerial skills were superb. It usually takes a few games for the winger to get up to speed after injury, but he’s getting there. 6 Tom Homer Unlike at Bristol, no real dramas but a quiet game from the full-back. Replacements - Jacques van Rooyen 6, Elliott Stooke 7, Anthony Perenise 6, Tom Ellis 6, Chris Cook 6, Rhys Priestland 6
