Get set for entry
General entry spaces for the 2019 Bath Half Marathon are filling up quickly. With 85 per cent of tickets for the event sold, you need to look sharp if you would like to take part. Reserved charity spaces are still available. British Heart Foundation is the lead charity for the event, with 130 others including many Bath-based local charities - also offering places. These are also reporting high demand though, so you still need to hurry. The race, which draws in huge crowds each year, is on a fast, flat, two lap course ideal for both elite and amateur runners alike. Race director Andrew Taylor said: “Each year we conduct a post-race runners survey and both the atmosphere and fantastic local crowd support are mentioned as key reasons why runners will recommend to friends or family to run the race. “We do have a lot of first timers but we have a higher number of repeat runners who are looking for personal best times, which on a course like ours is really achievable. “Add this to the fact that our race is uniquely set in a beautiful city may also help explain why we are selling out earlier and earlier each year.” The Bath Half Marathon 2019 takes place on Sunday 17th March 2019. The race starts and finishes on Great Pulteney Street, with more than 500 charities represented at the event. To register for general entry or to run for a charity visit www.bathhalf.co.uk.
