Trio’s success

Bath Chronicle - - SPORT -

Three young fighters from Bath Judo Club attended the Bushido Za Zen Pre Junior National Championships at High Wycombe Judo Centre and returned with two gold medals and a silver medal. The first competitor to fight was Arni Trevethick, who completely dominated the under-30kg class. His three fights did not last the contest time as he produced brilliant throwing techniques. Brother Jasper was also in dynamic form as he outwitted all of his opponents to take the gold medal in the under-35kg group. Matthew Mckeever, on his first outing for the Bath club, won the silver medal. The Bath judo club has classes to suit all abilities from the complete beginner to the advanced player and specialises in self defence lessons for its members. Classes for children and adults are held in the Bath Leisure Centre on Friday evenings or Bath Judo Centre, Larkhall on Monday and Thursday nights and Saturday mornings.
