Sup­port­ers thanked at sum­mer ball

A char­ity which helps fam­i­lies man­age their emo­tional well-be­ing dur­ing preg­nancy and af­ter birth has ben­e­fited from a sum­mer ball. Blue­bell­care thanked ev­ery­one for their sup­port and gen­eros­ity with the event at Bath Race­course at the end of Septem­ber. Event or­gan­is­ers Re­becca Mur­doch, a mid­wife at Bath ma­ter­nity at the RUH and Blue­bell mid­wifery cham­pion and Blue­bell cham­pion Holly Reynolds said: “It makes an in­cred­i­ble dif­fer­ence to so many women and fam­i­lies in Bath and North East Som­er­set.” Guests en­joyed wel­come drinks on the roof gar­den be­fore lis­ten­ing to speeches about the char­ity and its work from Holly and Re­becca and Ruth Jack­son, CEO and founder of Blue­bell, and watch­ing three films show­ing how it helps. A raf­fle fea­tured prizes from Clay­ton’s Kitchen and Hall & Wood­house among oth­ers and a si­lent auc­tion was held to help boost funds. Holly and Re­becca also wanted to thank Jane Camp­bell-howard, owner of The So­ci­ety Cafe for the brown­ies, Steve Hill from Ca­dence En­ter­tain­ment who pro­vided the mu­sic and pho­tog­ra­pher Sarah Fitzger­ald-jones.
