Supporters thanked at summer ball
A charity which helps families manage their emotional well-being during pregnancy and after birth has benefited from a summer ball. Bluebellcare thanked everyone for their support and generosity with the event at Bath Racecourse at the end of September. Event organisers Rebecca Murdoch, a midwife at Bath maternity at the RUH and Bluebell midwifery champion and Bluebell champion Holly Reynolds said: “It makes an incredible difference to so many women and families in Bath and North East Somerset.” Guests enjoyed welcome drinks on the roof garden before listening to speeches about the charity and its work from Holly and Rebecca and Ruth Jackson, CEO and founder of Bluebell, and watching three films showing how it helps. A raffle featured prizes from Clayton’s Kitchen and Hall & Woodhouse among others and a silent auction was held to help boost funds. Holly and Rebecca also wanted to thank Jane Campbell-howard, owner of The Society Cafe for the brownies, Steve Hill from Cadence Entertainment who provided the music and photographer Sarah Fitzgerald-jones.
