Fireworks night goes with a bang!
Bonfires blazed and fireworks lit up the night sky as thousands enjoyed an extravaganza at Bath Racecourse. Light Up Lansdown was bigger and better than before with around 4,500 people helping to raise £1,300 for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity. A Bath Racecourse spokesman said: “We were thrilled to support the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity with their ‘Buy Our Base’ appeal with this year’s event. “It was our biggest and best fireworks display to date and it was fantastic to give guests the added bonus of the balloon glow. “We are delighted to have received such positive feedback about this year’s events.” Ian Cantoni, community fundraising coordinator at the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, said: “It was a real pleasure to be a part of Light Up Lansdown at Bath Racecourse. “It was a fantastic display and everyone who came along was so generous in their support for Great Western Air Ambulance Charity. We are very proud to be Bath’s local air ambulance charity and want to thank everyone in the local community for supporting GWAAC. Revellers also enjoyed fairground rides and hot air balloons
