More thought could have avoided charge

Bath Chronicle - - OPINION -

With a little forethought BANES could have averted a deal of pollution and congestion by adopting strategies carried out in more forward thinking European tourist countries and Heritage sites. For example: Store and hotel deliveries to be carried out between midnight and six am The very popular electric “Noddy” trains instead of the often half empty red tour buses lumbering round our streets and avoidance of long term contracts to vehicles such as these Chevron parking in residential areas Predictably these same residential areas will suffer from freight vehicles and tourist coaches avoiding charges. Prevention is proverbially better than cure folks. Chris Owen Bath resident
