I took this photo of a plumbeous water redstart along the Kunhar River, northwest Pakistan. My family and I visited the area, which is surrounded by lush green mountains, in August. While my wife and children were asleep, I headed out to take pictures of these beautiful birds. By adjusting the shutter speed on my camera I was able to accommodate the low light. This male perched on a wooden post long enough for me to get some good shots. It was an amazing feeling when I captured this image. Ijaz Rafi, Lahore, Pakistan
