What to spot if you visit Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia

Named for the ‘blue towers’ – three sheer granite peaks that loom over its teal-hued lakes – this windswept landscape of pampas grassland, lenga forest, glaciers and jagged rock spires attracts trekkers and wildlife-watchers alike. Along with 26 species of mammal, including the elusive puma, it’s home to at least 115 bird species and an array of unique flora. Spotability
