Fu­sion heat­ing wins con­tract to main­tain 10,000 so­cial homes

EN­ERGY con­trac­tor Fu­sion Heat­ing has won a seven-year deal with Choice Hous­ing to mon­i­tor the heat­ing sys­tems in so­cial hous­ing around North­ern Ire­land.

Fu­sion Heat­ing — now part owned by SSE Air­tric­ity — will carry out main­te­nance and re­pair of gas, oil and elec­tri­cal heat­ing sys­tems in 10,000 so­cial homes around North­ern Ire­land.

Michael Mcdon­nell, group chief ex­ec­u­tive of Choice, said: “This is a good deal that sup­ports our com­mit­ment to de­liver ex­cel­lence to more than 10,000 cus­tomers across North­ern Ire­land.

“Re­li­able re­pairs and value for money are shared pri­or­i­ties for all of us and with Fu­sion Heat­ing we can pro­vide re­spon­sive ser­vices and added con­fi­dence, par­tic­u­larly dur­ing these colder months.”

It’s the first ma­jor deal for Fu­sion since SSE Air­tric­ity ac­quired 50% of it. David Man­ning, di­rec­tor of home en­ergy at SSE Air­tric­ity, said the deal demon­strated Fu­sion’s busi­ness po­ten­tial.
