Maeve Hunt has been appointed to the position of associate director at leading business advisory firm Grant Thornton.
In her new role, Ms Hunt’s responsibilities will include managing a wide portfolio of small and medium sized enterprises as well as large corporate bodies across numerous industry sectors, including manufacturing, property and retail.
Ms Hunt has 10 years’ experience in the audit and assurance industry. She is also a member of the Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Previously Ms Hunt seconded to a large charity for a year.
Bronagh Bourke has been appointed to the position of audit director at business advisory firm Grant Thornton.
Ms Bourke’s responsibilities will include managing a broad spectrum of growing entrepreneurial clients in corporate audit throughout Ireland and the UK, in sectors including pharmaceutical, retail, manufacturing, flour milling and IT.
She has 15 years of audit experience, which she gained while working with a range of large, privately-held businesses.
Ms Bourke is also a member of the Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Ken Nelson has been appointed as chairman of Intertradeireland by the North South Ministerial Council.
Mr Nelson has previously been chief executive of Local Economic Development Company (LEDCOM), one of Northern Ireland’s leading social enterprises and has more than 25 years’ experience working closely with entrepreneurs, start-up companies, small businesses and social enterprises. As part of this Mr Nelson also had regular involvement with cross-border trade development activities. In 2012, he was appointed to the board of Invest Northern Ireland.
Hilary Griffith has been appointed to the position of head of corporate at Cleaver Fulton Rankin.
Ms Griffith has almost 20 years’ experience in law.
She graduated from Queen’s University with distinction in 1998, and has worked as a corporate partner in one of Northern Ireland’s international law firms. She has also previously led Queen’s University’s commercial legal team.
Ms Griffith has advised on numerous significant mergers and acquisitions as well as management buy-outs, fundraisings and private equity investments in Northern Ireland.
