Ni­cola Mckay has been ap­pointed to an as­so­ciate role at de­sign and ar­chi­tec­ture com­pany HLM. Ms Mckay has de­liv­ered high-pro­file projects in the UK, Ire­land and in­ter­na­tion­ally, in a broad range of sec­tors in­clud­ing health­care, com­mer­cial and hos­pi­tal­ity. She also held a post as a lec­turer, and is man­ag­ing HLM’S hos­pi­tal­ity projects in Abu Dhabi. Michelle Lin­den has been ap­pointed di­rec­tor at Spec­savers in Newry, where she will be re­spon­si­ble for help­ing to grow the busi­ness and de­velop staff. Ms Lin­den has worked for Spec­savers Newry for 10 years, re­cently as a se­nior op­tometrist. Steven Len­non has been ap­pointed as­so­ciate at HLM. Mr Len­non has worked for the com­pany for 10 years and of­fers ex­ten­sive knowl­edge and de­sign ex­per­tise. Mr Len­non leads HLM’S flag­ship work with the NI Fire and Res­cue Service. He is also over­see­ing the £73m North Wing project at Alt­nagelvin Hos­pi­tal in Lon­don­derry. Jonathan Hack­ing has been ap­pointed as­so­ciate in merg­ers, ac­qui­si­tions and cor­po­rate at A&L Good­body to ad­vise public and pri­vate sec­tor clients on all as­pects of com­mer­cial, data and IP law. He spe­cialises in com­mer­cial law, tech­nol­ogy, IP mat­ters. Kate Fer­gu­son has been ap­pointed com­mu­ni­ca­tions di­rec­tor at Jago. With more than 15 years’ ex­pe­ri­ence of PR and mar­ket­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tions, span­ning both in-house and agency, Ms Fer­gu­son’s role will see her direct a team of com­mu­ni­ca­tions pro­fes­sion­als and lead PR strat­egy, cre­ative cam­paign devel­op­ment and me­dia re­la­tions. David Craig will take over as head of the me­dia depart­ment at law firm John­sons Solic­i­tors. He will com­bine this role with his po­si­tion as head of John­sons’ large loss team. He acted for both plain­tiffs and de­fen­dants in a num­ber of high-pro­file cases. Moira Le­heny will head up Belfast firm Hool Law. She is one of North­ern Ire­land’s most ex­pe­ri­enced spe­cial­ist fam­ily lawyers. She ad­vises on and re­solves the most press­ing is­sues fol­low­ing re­la­tion­ship break­down in terms of money, chil­dren, pen­sions and co-habitee dis­putes as well as pre-mar­i­tal agree­ments. Aine Hughes has been ap­pointed as­so­ciate, re­struc­tur­ing and in­sol­vency at A&L Good­body. She spe­cialises in pro­vid­ing ad­vice to in­sol­vency prac­ti­tion­ers and fi­nan­cial in­sti­tu­tions on both con­tentious and non-con­tentious mat­ters.
