Half of job applicants put off at first hurdle
HALF of job applicants have been put off a potential employer because of a bad interview or negative first impression of an organisation, says a new study.
A survey of over 11,000 jobseekers by recruiters Hays found that many applicants were deterred by unwelcoming staff or an office environment they did not like.
The location of a company also affected how positive people felt about wanting to work there.
Half of employees said they have quit at least one job within a year because it did not meet their expectation, or training was not provided.
