Bob& Berts to open its first store in scotland
NORTHERN Ireland coffee chain Bob & Berts will open its first shop in Scotland on Thursday.
The new store in Falkirk will mark the 19th in Colin Mcclean and David Ferguson’s rapidly expanding coffee empire.
A second Scottish outlet is due to follow in Dunfermline on November 15, with work on a third in Stirling to get under way in January.
The company, which started as a single coffee shop in Portstewart, has set its sights on opening another two dozen stores over the next three years.
The expansion has been driven by £2m of funding from the Business Growth Fund, which came on board in August 2017.
Along with the investment, the BGF has brought in former Costa finance director, Mohan Mansigani.
To date the BGF has invested around £50 min four NI firms.
