Firm is ‘at your conveyance’
ONE of Northern Ireland’s best known legal firms has celebrated 25 years in business with the launch of a new dedicated conveyance division.
Encouraged by growth in the property market, Belfast company Mcconnell Kelly has decided to offer this new service.
Company director Darren Duncan says: “There’s no doubt the property sector is going to be more buoyant this year.
“Confidence has returned to the market with people able to obtain mortgages more easily again — banks lending again will inject much-needed resources into our economy.
“Now we are the fastest growing house price region in the UK outside of London.
“We’ve taken our time to look at this specifically and what it could mean for our own business development and have decided that now is the right time to develop a state-of-the-art conveyance division/centre, that is located directly opposite our main Ballyhackamore office.“
Mr Duncan says the service will have an open door policy. He promises: “Our objective is to gain total satisfaction and confidence for our clients — where we will return calls and clients can visit the new Newtownards Road facility at any time to view our team at work. We believe that we are unique in this respect. We want to go the extra mile for our clientele and ensure everyone is aware of our unique selling points. Many other solicitors use junior paralegals for conveyance — this certainly isn’t the plan at Mcconnell Kelly.”
One of the first new recruits to the conveyancing division is local solicitor Kathryn Spratt who has specialised in this area for a decade. She says the firm’s business model is efficient, and the company cares about meticulously delivering on time for both home buyers and sellers.
She adds: “Conveyancing is a minefield — the smallest detail missed at completion can mean a lifetime of property related misery.“
