SUBARU LAUNCHES UFU AFFINITY PROGRAMME
THE world’s largest manufacturer of 4x4 cars, Subaru, has teamed up with the Ulster Farmers’ Union to offer their full range of vehicles on the UFU Affinity programme.
The deal is exclusive to Northern Ireland and is a first for the Japanese manufacturer.
UFU members will be able to negotiate direct with their local Subaru dealer, then get a further 3% UFU member discount off their chosen new vehicle.
Launching the scheme, UFU deputy president Ivor Ferguson said “We’re delighted to bring this exclusive new benefit to our members. The Subaru car range is renowned for its go-anywhere ability, in all seasons, on or offroad, backed by outstanding reliability and an excellent warranty.
“Our members understand the importance of delivering quality goods and services to their customers, there is no doubt Subaru cars in turn command extraordinary customer loyalty as their range of All Wheel Drive cars has proven to be thoroughly capable and trustworthy in all conditions.
“This deal is an excellent fit for our members, and Subaru, and we trust it will be highly successful for all.”
Subaru NI MD Neville Matthews added: “Nine out of ten Subarus are still in service on and off road 10 years after being built, and an extraordinary number remain in the service of the original purchasers.
“Customer loyalty and satisfaction is the backbone of our business in Northern Ireland, and we have seen Subaru become the obvious vehicle choice for the farmer, his wife and family, vets and suppliers.
“The UFU membership contains a substantial number of our existing owners and it’s only natural that we would want to keep building stronger bonds with our customers.
“The complete model range — Forester, XV Crossover, Outback, all new Levorg, Impreza, even the WRX STI and BRZ sportster — are being launched on the programme. We didn’t want members feeling we were excluding them from a particular model — there really is no reason not to make the full line-up available.
“Demonstrators are available at any of our three NI dealers — Western Cars Enniskillen, Eastwood Motors Lisburn and Gormley Motors Dungannon. Members, and customers old and new will be made most welcome.
“We offer petrol and diesel Boxer engines delivering power through our proven All Wheel Drive system. Together they ensure a low centre of gravity, taut handling and outstanding driver confidence all year round. Drivers can choose from our six speed manual transmissions or our Lin- eartronic gearboxes, both return excellent real world economy.”
